IBPS releases updated vacancies for PO/MT-XVI recruitment

IBPS issued a corrigendum on 27 August 2026 updating the indicative vacancies for Common Recruitment Process PO/MT-XVI (Probationary Officers/Management Trainees, for 2027-28 vacancies), against the detailed notification originally issued on 1 July 2026; the cycle is reported to cover around 7,565 vacancies. The updated vacancy annexure reflects numbers communicated by the participating public sector banks; final provisional allotment will be based on the actual vacancies these banks report at that stage, and all other terms of the original notification remain unchanged. IBPS PO recruitment typically proceeds through Preliminary and Main online examinations followed by an interview, with successful candidates allotted to one of the participating public sector banks based on merit and preference.
