IBPS has released the official timeline for CRP CSA-XVI, its Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates (Clerks) in participating public sector banks, covering 2027-28 vacancies. Online registration and fee payment ran from 1 to 21 August 2026; Pre-Examination Training (PET) is scheduled for September 2026, the Preliminary examination for October 2026, with results in November 2026, followed by the Main examination in December 2026 and provisional allotment in March 2027. What this means for you
Treat this calendar as a planning tool: it gives months, not exact dates, which arrive later through call letters and notices. Working back from it, the October prelims tests English, numerical ability and reasoning, while the December Main exam adds General/Financial Awareness and computer aptitude. Since the prelims result is expected only in November, a few weeks before the Main exam, build current-affairs and banking-awareness preparation alongside your prelims practice rather than starting it after the result. There is no interview for the clerk post; provisional allotment in March 2027 depends on Main exam merit and your bank preferences, and a qualifying test of the state's official language may apply where required.
