SSC CHSL 2025: Final Result Declared, 3,515 Candidates Recommended Against 3,522 Vacancies

The Staff Selection Commission declared the final result of the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2025 (CHSLE) on 7 October 2026. After the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA, declared 17 August 2026) and a mandatory Sliding/Identity Verification window held from 1 to 3 September 2026 - candidates who did not attend this step in person were treated as absent and dropped from consideration - the Commission provisionally recommended 3,515 candidates against 3,522 total vacancies (category-wise: UR 1,675, OBC 768, SC 490, EWS 337, ST 252, plus reserved sub-categories including ESM, OH, HH, VH and PwD-Others). Candidates should check their own roll number against the official result PDF on ssc.gov.in.

What this means for you

Two lessons sit inside this result. First, the gap between 3,522 vacancies and 3,515 recommendations comes partly from candidates who skipped the mandatory sliding/identity verification of 1 to 3 September and were treated as absent - in SSC's current process an in-person step missed is a selection lost, however good the marks. Second, selection now runs through the First Round of Tentative Allocation, so the preferences you fill decide which post you are considered for before the final list. If you appeared, check your roll number in the official PDF on ssc.gov.in itself; the category-wise numbers (UR 1,675, OBC 768, SC 490, EWS 337, ST 252 and the reserved sub-categories) tell you how the recommendations were distributed, not who was recommended.
