RPSC RAS 2026: Preliminary Exam Proposed for 6 December 2026; Correction Window Was Open 24-30 September
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission's press note of 23 September 2026 says the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2026 is proposed to be held on 6 December 2026 (the School Lecturer - Special Education exam is proposed for 8 December). An online correction window for the application form was opened from 24 to 30 September 2026 on payment of Rs 500, after first correcting the One Time Registration (OTR) profile where needed; applicants not wishing to appear could withdraw their form in the same window. The Commission has also warned that a candidate who is absent in any two exams in a financial year will have the OTR facility blocked (Rs 750 to unblock, Rs 1,500 after a repeat), and that applying on false information is punishable under Section 217 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, with debarment for three years.

What this means for you
The correction window (24 to 30 September) has already closed, so the actionable part now is the exam date and the two warnings. The preliminary exam is 'proposed' for 6 December - plan for it, but treat the date as firm only when RPSC confirms it. The absence rule is the one that catches people: skip any two RPSC exams in a financial year and your One Time Registration is blocked, with a fee to unblock and a higher fee the next time - so apply only for exams you will actually sit. And the Commission has spelt out that applying on false information is punishable under Section 217 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and brings a three-year debarment; check every field of your OTR profile against your certificates before the admit card stage.
