SSC MTS/Havaldar 2025: Additional CBE Result Shortlists 542 Earlier-Withheld Candidates for Havaldar PET/PST After CAT Order
On 7 October 2026 the Staff Selection Commission declared an additional result of the Computer Based Examination of the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025 for the post of Havaldar. The results of 727 candidates had not been processed in the 3 August 2026 result because of suspected malpractice; in partial compliance with an order of the Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench, the Commission processed them and shortlisted 542 of these candidates for the PET/PST, while keeping their candidature withheld on account of the suspicious activities. The results of 15 more of the 727 candidates who were shortlisted are kept in a sealed cover because of a pending police investigation. The 3 August result had shortlisted 8,071 candidates (including 2 withheld) for the Havaldar PET/PST; the other terms of that write-up continue to apply.

What this means for you
This additional result touches a specific group: the 727 candidates whose results were held back on 3 August over suspected malpractice. Of them, 542 are now shortlisted for the Havaldar PET/PST - but with their candidature still withheld, so being on this list is a step in the process, not a clearance - and 15 more sit in a sealed cover pending a police investigation. If you were among the 727, check your status and read the withheld-candidature wording carefully. If you were among the 8,071 shortlisted in August, nothing changes for you; the terms of that write-up still apply. The order came from the Central Administrative Tribunal, which is why the Commission describes this as partial compliance rather than a reversal.
