Important dates
- 72nd CCE Prelims (tentative; postponed on 12 Oct 2026)
- 2026-10-25
- 70th CCE final result published
- 2026-06-20
What this means for you
Read the three cycles side by side and the timeline becomes predictable: in the 70th CCE the Prelims of December 2024 led to a final result in June 2026, with Mains about four months after Prelims and interviews stretching over several months. For a 72nd CCE candidate that means the written stages run into 2027; plan finances and any job decision on that horizon, not on the Prelims date alone. The vacancy figures here (2035, 1298, 1189) are the Commission's own calendar entries and move through corrigenda, so for the current number quote the latest corrigendum rather than the calendar.
