No. 01/2026 dated 29-01-2026 (83 posts of Constable (General Duty, Close Cadre) in the Special Branch, Bihar Police: UR 34, EWS 08, SC 13, ST 01, EBC 15, BC 10, BC Women 02), the Board issued 2,24,429 admit cards and held the two-paper written examination on 24-06-2026. On 18-08-2026 it published the result shortlisting 254 candidates (1:3) for the Physical Standard and Measurement Test, held on 12 September 2026 at the Bihar Veterinary College ground, Patna: 250 appeared, 13 failed and 237 passed (86 women, 151 men). The final list of 83 selected candidates, in order of merit by total written-examination marks and category, was published on 09-10-2026.

What this means for you
Eighty-three posts drew 2,24,429 admit cards, the 1:3 shortlist cut the field to 254 for the physical test, and the final 83 were then chosen by written marks within each category.
