The Railway Recruitment Boards will open an application-modification window under CEN 09/2025 (Level 1 posts) from 22.10.2026 (00:01 hrs) to 28.10.2026 (23:59 hrs) for Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) trained in a Railway Establishment, according to a notice dated 16.10.2026. It is open only to CCAA candidates who appeared in the CBT, had not furnished their marks in the online application and had indicated the date of their last NCVT examination; they can fill in or update their certificate details and NCVT marks. Such apprentices get weightage for their NCVT marks in the final merit list and are exempt from the Physical Efficiency Test, but under para 12.2 of the CEN only those who had appeared in the NCVT examination before the last date of online application, 09.03.2026, count as having completed the apprenticeship. Candidates who do not fill in their marks will be awarded zero marks against the NCVT weightage and will not be treated as CCAAs; representations after the window or by other means will not be considered, and the details will be verified at document verification.

What this means for you
This window matters only if you are a Course Completed Act Apprentice trained in a Railway Establishment, sat the CBT under CEN 09/2025, did not enter your NCVT marks in your application and did give the date of your last NCVT examination. If that is you, log in between 22 and 28 October and enter your certificate details and NCVT marks exactly as printed on your marksheet: the notice says anyone who skips this gets zero marks for the NCVT weightage, loses CCAA treatment, and cannot ask for it later by any other route. The details are checked at document verification, so keep your original National Apprenticeship Certificate and marksheet ready. If you are not a railway-trained CCAA, nothing changes for you.
