RPSC RAS Salary 2026: Official Pay Levels and Job Profile

The RAS exam fills posts in Rajasthan’s State Services and Subordinate Services from one exam. The notice lists each service with its Pay Matrix level, so what the job is and what it pays depends on which service you are allotted.

Many services under one exam

Your rank, category and service preferences decide which service you get. The 2026 notice (Advt. No. 02/2026-27) lists the services below with the Pay Matrix level printed against each. It does not describe day-to-day duties; those are set by the department concerned. Several services are listed twice, once for non-scheduled areas and once for scheduled areas.

State Services, Pay Level 12

Rajasthan Cooperative Service; Planning Service; Prisons Service; Industries Service; Commercial Tax Service; Food and Civil Supplies Service; Tourism Service; Transport Service; Devasthan Service; Labour Welfare Service; Excise (General Branch) Service; Excise (Preventive Force) Service; Minority Affairs Service.

Subordinate Services, Pay Level 12

Rajasthan Social Justice and Empowerment Subordinate Service (District Probation and Social Welfare Officer).

Subordinate Services, Pay Level 11

Rajasthan Tehsildar Service; Industries Subordinate Service; Integrated Child Development Subordinate Service; Social Justice and Empowerment Subordinate Service (Probation and Prison Welfare Officer; Social Security Officer); Minority Affairs Subordinate Service (Programme Officer); Rajasthan Subordinate Service, State Agriculture Marketing Department (Junior Marketing Officer).

Subordinate Services, Pay Level 10

Devasthan, Cooperative, Excise, Planning, Commercial Tax, Food and Civil Supplies and Labour Welfare Subordinate Services.

Pay: the levels printed in the notice

The notice prints a Pay Matrix level against each service: Level 14 or Level 12 for State Services, and Level 10, 11 or 12 for Subordinate Services, as grouped above.

It gives levels only, not rupee amounts, allowances or take-home pay, so none are quoted here. Check the notice and the Rajasthan pay matrix for current figures.

Service-wise vacancies, pay levels and eligibility are published fresh in every notice and can be corrected by later corrigenda. The official notification is the authority; confirm current details against RPSC’s RAS 2026 advertisement (PDF).
