RRB Group D Salary 2025: Official Pay Level and Job Profile

RRB Group D recruits into Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix across Indian Railways. CEN 09/2025 lists 14 post categories in several departments, all at one pay level and one qualification. This page gives only what that notification prints: the posts and their departments, pay level, initial pay, qualification and medical standard. The notification does not describe each post’s day-to-day duties.

One pay level, many posts

A candidate applies to one RRB or railway zone and gives an order of preference for the posts in it. The post is allotted on merit, preference, medical fitness and vacancies, and once a post is allotted the candidate gives up the right to be considered for any other post.

Selected candidates undergo training wherever it is prescribed, and the notification says only a stipend is paid, as applicable, during training. A railway servant is ordinarily employed throughout service on the railway of first appointment, and the notification says no transfer request is registered until the new appointee has completed at least 5 to 10 years of service.

Pay: Level 1, initial pay as printed in the notification

The notification lists all these posts in Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, with an initial pay of ₹18,000. The qualification printed for every post is a 10th pass, an ITI or equivalent, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

The notification gives no in-hand salary, allowance or benefit figures, so this page does not estimate any.
