Rajasthan Patwari Salary 2025: Official Pay Level and Job Profile

Patwari under the Board of Revenue, Ajmer

The posts are filled under the Rajasthan Revenue (Land Records, Settlement and Colonisation) Subordinate Service Rules, 2019 and, for scheduled areas, the Rajasthan Scheduled Area Subordinate, Ministerial and Class IV Service (Recruitment and Other Conditions of Service) Rules, 2014. Candidates fill in district or division preferences in the application, and the Board of Revenue allots districts by merit and preference.

Selected candidates are appointed by the District Collector as probationer trainees and get 6 months of training after appointment. Probation lasts two years.

CET (Graduation Level) 2024

Only candidates declared qualified in the Board’s Common Eligibility Test (Graduation Level) 2024 could apply for the 2025 recruitment.

A graduate degree and a computer qualification

A graduate degree (or an equivalent recognised by the government) and one computer qualification from the advertisement’s list, such as NIELIT or DOEACC ‘O’ level or higher, the COPA or DPCS certificate, a diploma or degree in Computer Science or Computer Application, a 3-year polytechnic diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, an engineering degree in any branch, the RS-CIT certificate, or Senior Secondary with Computer Science or Computer Application as a subject. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari and knowledge of Rajasthan’s culture are also required.

Age

At least 18 and under 40 on 1 January 2026. Every applicant gets 3 more years on the upper limit because no Patwari exam had been held in the 3 years before, and the advertisement lists further relaxations by category.

Pay: fixed remuneration first, then Level L-5

During the two-year probation, a probationer trainee is paid a monthly fixed remuneration at rates the state government sets, instead of the post’s pay scale, and no other allowances such as house rent allowance, dearness allowance, city compensatory allowance or special pay. The advertisement does not print the amount. A serving government employee selected as a trainee may be allowed his or her existing pay or the fixed remuneration, whichever is more beneficial.

After successfully completing probation, which includes the training and a post-training exam, the minimum of the pay scale and allowances are paid. The advertisement gives the Patwari post Pay Matrix Level L-5 under the state government’s 7th pay scale, but it does not print the rupee amount of Level L-5 or any in-hand figure, so this page does not estimate one.

For newly appointed employees, the state government’s pension scheme applies as per the rules.
