Rajasthan Patwari Syllabus & Exam Pattern

Rajasthan Patwari recruitment is run by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, and only candidates who qualified the Board’s Common Eligibility Test (Graduation Level) can apply. Selection rests on one written exam. Here’s the shape of it and the topics tested, taken from the Board’s Patwari Direct Recruitment 2025 advertisement (No. 02/2025), with a link to the advertisement for the exact marks and timing.

The stages

Common Eligibility Test (Graduation Level)
The gateway to the recruitment. For Patwari Direct Recruitment 2025, only candidates declared qualified in the CET (Graduation Level) 2024 could apply. You also need a graduate degree and one of the computer qualifications listed in the advertisement, such as RS-CIT, NIELIT ‘O’ level, or a diploma or degree in Computer Science or Computer Application.
Written exam
One offline, OMR-based objective paper in five parts, and its marks decide the order of merit. A wrong answer costs one-third of the question’s marks. Each question has five circles, A to D for the answer and E for “question not attempted”: leaving a question with none of the five darkened also costs one-third of its marks, and a candidate who leaves more than 10% of the questions that way is disqualified. 10 extra minutes are given at the end to make sure a circle is darkened for every question.
Eligibility check and document verification
Shortlisted candidates have their eligibility and documents checked before the final result. In the 2025 cycle the Board shortlisted up to twice the advertised posts in each category for this stage.
