India launches Net Zero Portal and NAPCC Dashboard

Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Kirti Vardhan Singh launched India's Net Zero Portal and the National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) Dashboard in Mumbai on World Ozone Day 2026. The Net Zero Portal is a centralised digital platform for voluntary registration and disclosure of Net Zero commitments by Indian entities: participants can disclose greenhouse-gas emissions, declare Net Zero targets, submit annual progress updates, and outline their pathways - covering measures such as clean-energy transition, energy efficiency, technological interventions and carbon removals. The NAPCC Dashboard provides a consolidated digital view of implementation and progress across the various National Missions under the NAPCC, bringing mission-related information and indicators onto one common platform to support inter-ministerial coordination, evidence-based assessment, tracking of sectoral progress and identification of implementation gaps. Together, the two platforms are meant to strengthen transparency, coordination and evidence-based decision-making in India's climate action efforts.
