Indian Naval Ships Sahyadri and Kulish arrive at Subic Bay for ADMM-Plus exercise

Indian Naval Ships Sahyadri and Kulish arrived at Subic Bay, Philippines, on 20 September to take part in the ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) Joint Cooperation Activity (JCA). The activity brings together maritime forces from ASEAN member states and eight Plus countries for professional and operational engagements aimed at enhancing interoperability, mutual understanding and maritime cooperation. India's participation is described as being in consonance with the Government of India's Act East Policy and the MAHASAGAR vision for engagement with regional partners. INS Sahyadri is a Shivalik-class stealth multi-role frigate (pennant F49), and INS Kulish is a Kora-class corvette (pennant P63); both are participating alongside regional and international naval forces in the multinational maritime activity.
