Indian Security Forces Neutralize Senior Lashkar-e-Taiba Commander Musa in Jammu & Kashmir

In an intelligence-led operation at Gurwatkalan, Budgam district, security forces neutralized senior Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Musa alias Asif Fauji, as part of the long-running Operation Sheruwali launched in May 2026. His killing completes the neutralization of a four-member LeT commander group active in J&K since 2022, linked to attacks including Halan (2023), Shahsitar (2024), Gagangir (2024) and Baisaran (2025); the other three members of the group were neutralized in earlier separate operations.
