Nanomedicine to Drive the Next Generation of Precision Medicine and Personalised Healthcare: Dr. Jitendra Singh

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, addressing the World Congress on Nanomedicine 2026 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, said nanomedicine will drive the next generation of precision and personalised healthcare in India. He noted the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) is currently supporting around 210 R&D projects in the nanomedicine space with an outlay of about Rs 174 crore, citing examples such as oral insulin delivered via nanoparticles and nanobot-based approaches for breast cancer treatment under development. Nobel Laureate Prof. Roger D. Kornberg served as Chairperson of the Congress.
