Government to Launch Special Campaign 6 from 2 to 31 October with Focus on Swachhata and Reducing Pendency

The Government of India announced Special Campaign 6, running in three phases: a Preparatory Phase (15-30 September 2026) identifying pending references and records for disposal, an Implementation Phase (2-31 October 2026) for cleanliness drives and e-waste disposal across government offices, and an Evaluation Phase (16-30 November 2026). The campaign builds on Special Campaign 5, during which the Department of Commerce reviewed 88,385 physical files, weeded out 46,255 of them, freed 36,005 sq. ft. of office space, and generated about Rs 70 lakh through disposal of scrap material across 277 cleaned sites.
